Manufacturing Quality Certifications and Practices

High quality manufacturing is no accident—it requires a dedicated, disciplined effort to produce cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and box builds that meet and exceed our clients expectations, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and can be relied upon in mission critical environments.

ISO 9001:2015

MRO is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company from SAI Global Assurance for the scope of Manufacturing of low, medium and high complexity custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses, including radio frequency (RF) coax assemblies, power, data and control cables and rugged over-molded cable assemblies for various industry sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Agriculture, DockSide/Marine, Automotive, Telecommunications and Defense. A copy of our ISO Certificate of Registration, valid until September 11, 2021 can be downloaded here.

Quality Objectives

  • On time delivery rate of 96% or higher

We consistently meet and exceed our ISO quality objectives. We have maintained an ISO quality rating of 99.7% for all shipped cable assemblies.

IPC/WHMA-A-620

Education and training are critical elements for the success of our manufacturing business. With IPC certified trainers on staff, we can provide the necessary industry training and skills to ensure the highest quality electronics assembly that our customers have come to expect. All assembly staff are trained by our in-house IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified trainers, ensuring that every member of our assembly team are Certified IPC/WHMA-A-620 Application Specialists. MRO follows the latest IPC revisions and ensures that every application specialist is utilizing the latest processes and technology.

We are an IPC Class 2 and Class 3 EMS Provider.

IPC Class 2: Dedicated Service

Includes products where continued performance and extended life is required, and for which uninterrupted service is desired but not critical. Typically, the end-use environment would not cause failures.

IPC Class 3: High Performance/Harsh Environment

Includes products where continued performance or performance-on-demand is critical, equipment downtime cannot be tolerated, end-use environment may be uncommonly harsh, and the equipment must function when required, such as life support systems and other critical systems.

Testing and Inspection

All materials and components are inspected for quality and conformity before entering the manufacturing supply stream.

Every cable assembly, wiring harness and box build produced by MRO undergoes 100% testing before shipping.

Our testing capabilities

  • Flex/Bend
  • Pull/Tensile Strength
  • Low Voltage
  • High-Pot AC/DC - up to 1500 DC and 1000 AC

Mechanical Testing

Pull Testing

We mate every connection point to increase the strength of our cable assemblies.

We use a Mark 10 ESM301L motorized test stand for pull and break and pull and return testing.
